Henderson Settlement is a mission of the United Methodist Church dedicated to meeting basic human needs in poor, rural Appalachian communities in southeastern Kentucky and northeastern Tennessee.  Operating within the Red Bird Missionary Conference, Henderson Settlement currently administers roughly 60 programs and serves approximately 3000 people in the isolated communities of the Laurel Fork Valley.

Those attending our Retreat are asked to bring the following items to help fulfill the personal needs program of the Henderson Settlement:

The Lifted Worship Band; with Worship Leaders Ryan Beavers and Arlyne VanHook.

Leader Ryan Beavers says, “The Lifted Worship Band exists for two main reasons:

· To see the name and hope of Jesus “lifted” up in music and worship with people excited about His power and presence.

· To see worshippers “lifted” up to a place of communion and connection with the Almighty God.

Lifted serves as Worship Leaders for the Ooltewah United Methodist Church and has the privilege of playing at other area events and conferences.  They are planning a Mission Trip to the Czech Republic in the Fall of 2012 and would love your prayerful support.”
